Field Trip Logistics & Fees

This page contains a summary of logistics for our three field trip options. For complete details on field trips to the Seymour Center, please download the Marine Science Education Programs Brochure.

What field trip option works best for your class? All three options include:

  • Access to our interactive exhibits, aquaria, & shark and invertebrate touch pools. Stay as long as you like and don’t forget to include a visit the Ocean Discovery Shop.
  • An Educator Preview Pass, good for free admission for two people prior to your field trip.
  • One coupon for each student who visits, valid for a free student admission on a return visit—great for follow-up enrichment and parent involvement.

Where to eat

Where to eatEnjoy our outdoor picnic tables for snacks and lunches. Plenty of picnic tables are available on a first come, first served basis. After eating, return to explore the exhibit hall at no additional charge. Picnic tables are open to the elements, so make backup plans in the event of wet/cold weather.

Ocean Discovery Shop

Come visit the Ocean Discovery Shop. Many fun, educational books, marine-related gift items, as well as teacher resource materials are available. Please visit the store in groups of up to six students at a time with a supervising adult. All gift shop proceeds benefit Seymour Marine Discovery Center education programs.
