School Programs Teaching & Project Interns
College students or college graduates can become part of our outstanding team of School Programs Instructors who teach engaging, hands-on, marine science activities to visiting school groups in our seawater and teaching labs. Learn to lead engaging tours to Long Marine Lab’s blue and gray whale skeletons, marine mammal research overlook, invertebrate touch pools, and more. Gain valuable knowledge and experience as a science educator through teaching a wide range of marine science concepts to students ranging in age from kindergarten to community college.
Visitor Programs Interns
College students or college graduates work with the Visitor Programs staff and volunteers to engage and educate the public about ocean science and coastal climate-smart actions that make a difference. Interns may assist with daily and administrative tasks, educational program materials development, exhibit hall maintenance, outreach events, and other projects.
