Discovery Lab & Tours

Annual schedule: Tuesday-Friday, October 15, 2019 – May 29, 2020.

  • Discovery Lab applications received by the lottery deadline (September 5, 2019) have the best selection of program dates and times.
  • Applications received after the lottery deadline will be contacted with available dates and times after all lottery applications have been scheduled.

Reserved School Tour

Annual schedule: Tuesday-Sunday, year-round; Monday also available in July-August.

Reserved School Tours may not be booked on Community Free Days (9/17/19, 10/17/19, 11/12/19, 12/6/19).

  • Reservations must be made at least three weeks in advance year round, and far in advance for spring.
  • Available slots are filled on a first come, first served basis.
  • If you are interested in a Reserved School Tour, please review the information on our Field Trips page, then call (831) 459-3800 to make a reservation.

Self-guided Exhibit Exploration

Annual schedule: Tuesday-Sunday, year round; Monday also available in July-August.

Self-guided Exhibit Explorations may not be booked on Community Free Days (9/17/19, 10/17/19, 11/12/19, 12/6/19).

  • Advance reservations required year round, and far in advance for spring.
