Blue Innovation Festival

In collaboration with Santa Cruz Works, enjoy inspirational outreach booths from companies, artists, ocean enthusiasts, and researchers who are tackling the water and ocean challenges created by climate change. There will be food trucks, bands, and fun!

Blue innovation is an outdoor community festival, free and open to the public. Admission is required to visit the Seymour Center’s interior exhibit hall.

Parking and Transportation

If you plan to drive, there are several medium-sized parking lots on the Coastal Science Campus with free parking. You will walk for a few minutes, but the walk takes you through a Natural Reserve, so we think you’ll enjoy the beautiful stroll as you approach the Blue Innovation festival.

For ADA access, parking attendants will point you to reserved parking or drop-off/pick-up locations.

We encourage everyone to arrive by alternative transportation if possible.

Buses: Santa Cruz Metro route 22 stops near the Coastal Science Campus and Seymour Center. Plan your bus route.
Bikes: We offer plenty of bike racks around Seymour Center and throughout the Coastal Science Campus.
Carpool: Drive with friends or family members to the event!

*Iron Man 70.3 Santa Cruz is scheduled to take place in and around Santa Cruz areas and Highway 1 on Sunday, September 11, beginning at 6:00 a.m. Please note there may be traffic delays when traveling to the Blue Innovation Festival.
